Brigade Timeline
Formation
- 1940
Red Hill Fire Brigade was formed on the 23rd of March 1940. Rob Holmes was elected as captain with George Jarman as secretary and George Higgins as president.

1946
First Tanker
- 1946
an Ex-army truck was purchased and fitted with a water tank and hand pump.Then in 1948 the truck was painted red and fitted with a larger tank.
First Station
- 1952 to 1954
The brigade felt there was a need for a place to store trucks and equipment and as a meeting place. A site was selected on the red hill railway reserve near Pt. Leo Rd. a Nissen hut was erected on the site.

New Captain

Rob Holmes retires as captain, Geoff Hansford takes his place
First Awards Ball
- 1958
Brigade holds first ball not only a fund raiser but also for presentation of awards this tradition continues now only the date has been changed to the Melbourne Cup Eve

New Truck

an Austin fire truck is supplied by the C.F.A
Ladies Auxiliary Formation
- 13 October 2018
The Ladies Auxiliary is formed and provides the brigade with much needed fundraising and catering during fires

Junior Fire Brigade
- 1968
Junior Fire Brigade is formed to encourage young people to become fire fighters.
New Station on Mechanics Road
- 1971 to 1972
Lease on current land is obtained (Lot 2 Mechanics Rd), New station is opened 5th November 1972.

Station Expansion
- 1988 to 1990
Station is expanded to now have a meeting room, full kitchen, radio room and a 3 truck garage.
