Privacy

Protecting your privacy and personal information is important to Red Hill Fire Brigade.

Information you choose to provide

You can browse this website without identifying yourself. If you use the Contact or Join form, the details you enter are sent to the brigade’s email inbox by a small program running on our web host, Cloudflare. Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, phone number, address, volunteering preferences and message. The message also records the time it was sent and the internet (IP) address it came from, which helps us investigate misuse of the form.

Form submissions are not stored by the website itself. They are transmitted as an email and then kept only in the brigade’s email account for as long as needed to respond to and manage your enquiry. Brigade volunteers use that information only to respond to your request or manage your volunteering enquiry. It will not be added to a mailing list without your consent and will not be disclosed unless you consent or disclosure is required or authorised by law.

To protect the forms from automated abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a real visitor. Turnstile may process technical information about your browser and connection under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. It does not show advertising or track you across other websites.

Website data

This version of the website does not use advertising cookies, user accounts or behavioural analytics. Like most hosting services, the web host may temporarily record technical request information for security, reliability and aggregate service operation. This can include an IP address, request time, browser information and pages requested.

External services

Links to CFA, VicEmergency, Google Maps, Facebook and other external services are governed by those organisations’ own privacy practices.
