Although the majority of CFA funding for equipment and infrastructure comes from the Government, funding is limited and often takes many years to come through. 

It’s through the generosity of local residents and business owners that Red Hill CFA has been able to purchase much of our equipment, such as our “Big Fill” appliance (a highly customised 4wd with an onboard pump and other firefighting equipment that is able to access difficult terrain to pump water from dams, rivers and private tanks located throughout the Peninsula).

We are now fundraising for the  building works required to extend and raise the height of the station, so that we can be eligible to replace one of our ageing tankers, as well as improve the safety and comfort of the “turnout” area used by our volunteer firefighters for donning their gear when they are on the way to an emergency.
