Community resilience starts with connection.
The Hill and Ridge Emergency Network grew from a Community Resource Mapping workshop that brought together residents, business owners, educators, local agencies and community organisations.
Participants shared local knowledge about risks, vulnerable areas, available resources and the many skills already present in the community. The process also highlighted the strength of local social networks—relationships that become critical when an emergency affects the area.
The network was established to continue local planning, strengthen connections and take practical steps towards a more resilient Red Hill and Main Ridge community.
